Does the app move money?

No. Daftar Al-Jamiya never holds, sends or requests money. It is a notebook that records what you tell it, exactly as a paper one would. Paying and receiving stays between you and your members, as it always has.

Where is my data stored?

On your device only. No account, no server, no internet. See the privacy policy.

How do I make a backup?

Settings → Backup → "Export a backup file". Keep it with your other important files. Backup is free forever and will never become a paid feature.

I changed phones — how do I restore?

Install the app on the new phone, then Settings → Backup → "Restore from a file" and pick your backup. Restoring adds circles; it never deletes anything already there.

A member paid only half. How do I record that?

Press and hold their name in the collection grid and enter the real amount. The reminder message will then ask for the remaining amount, not the full share.

A member left mid-cycle.

Open the member, then "Replace member". The new person takes over the same turns, and the months the previous member paid stay recorded under their name.

We want to pause Ramadan.

In the timeline, press and hold the month and choose "Pause this month". The whole schedule shifts by one month, and the number of collecting months always stays equal to the number of shares.

I bought Daftar Pro but the features aren't unlocked.

Settings → "Restore purchase". It is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple Account, so it works on your devices signed in with the same account.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. The app works fully offline. The internet is only needed by WhatsApp when you send a message, and by Apple when you buy.
